A ban on texting while driving Des Moines used cars will become a reality on Iowa roads starting July 1.

Less experienced drivers – predominantly those ages 14 to 17 – will not be allowed to use cell phones at all while behind the wheel, under a compromise bill the Iowa Legislature gave final passage today.
